The Swimming Pool
A dip in the pool for an energetic start to the day? Lazing around all day on the sun terrace, perhaps reading a book or games with the children? Relaxing, resting one’s feet after a day’s outing. Whatever your choice, you will love the swimming pool!
The heated swimming pool is available to all our guests and a good size (12m × 5m) for keen swimmers. Safety is an important feature of its design with a ledge all the way round for the less confident. Roman steps at the shallow end face across the width of the pool, making a safe starting point for young children or non-swimmers.
The area around the pool is spacious: a paved sun terrace, two areas of decking and a quiet shady area at the end under a fruit tree. Stretch out in sun on one of the comfortable sunbeds or enjoy the shade under a parasol. We can even supply you with good quality pool towels!
The “space dome” – a retractable pool cover – maintains the water temperature and ensures that you can swim early and late in the season in comfort. The dome can be taken off completely or raised on legs to provide UV protection whilst using the pool.
The water is gently purified by an oxygen system, kinder to sensitive skins and the environment than salt or totally chlorinated systems. There is also a very pleasant solar shower by the pool.
The fencing around the pool complies with current French law safety standards and ensures young children cannot enter the pool area unaccompanied.
We are able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and water quality, being permanently resident at Les Mortiers.
